When you first saw a Cobra? Saw first cobra at Santa Barbara Ford Dealer.Walking from school to where my mom worked, use to go in and sit in the car until the salesman would throw me out.
How long have you been dreaming to have one? Got my first ride in one in 1972, # 50 289, jet black.Around Sausalito going way fast, decided I had to have one some day.
Why did you build the Car? Decided to build a ff5 in 1997 after having spent alot of time looking at various kits.
Estimated Completion Time? My kit arrived the end of Nov.,1997 .I worked at least 2 hours a night week days and 10-14 hour weekend days every day until it was completed (except for 10 days spent in Hawaii for Christmas)in June 1998.
Estimated Cost? $23,000.00
Description? 1993 donor with 55,000 miles. Stock brake system.Added Powerdyne supercharger, cobra manifold, 65mm throttle body, 24lb injectors, bullit mass air,MSD ignition and cool tubes.Convertable top and wipers Machined many custom parts including folding high velosity beverage holder and hand fabricated carbom fiber dash with custom cobra knobs and hand formed metal hood support frame.
Color? Color is Flash Red with silver metalic stripes, and was sprayed by myself and my brother-in-law Grayson Myers whos help building this car was invaluable.
Future Plans(optional)? Future plans include adding Flameing River steering rack,3.27 gears and possibly rear disc brakes
